Introduction to Design Process Development, process alternatives, Process Flow sheeting and simulation using ASPEN PLUS, Conceptual Process Synthesis, Conceptual design of reactors, pressure vessels, distillation / adsorption columns, storage vessels, Synthesis of Separation Trains, Cost Estimation & profitability analysis, Heat Exchange Network Analysis, Scale up & pilot plant studies, HAZOP and Safety in design, Batch process Design for sequential processing using SUPERPRO, Continuous plant design (group term projects).
