Raw Exhaust Gas Emission Analyser (Horiba, EXSA-1500) measures the concentrations of CO, CO2, THC (total hydrocarbon), NOx and O2 in exhaust gases from the engine. EXSA-1500 works even on low sample flow rates (3 lpm).
For the measurement of CO and CO2, Non dispersive infrared (NDIR) analyzer is used.
For the measurement of THC, a heated Flame ionization detector (hot FID) is used.
Chemiluminescence (CLD) analyzer is used for measurement of NOx.
Magnetopnumatic analyzer (MPA) is used for measuring O2.
A PC type flow controller calculates the concentrations from the analyzer signals and display the result on a screen. The heating sampling line is provided for exhuast gas sampling. EXSA-1500 has limited range for regulated emission (CO: 0-5000 ppm, 0-10 vol%); (CO2: 0-10/20 vol%); (NO/NOx : 0-100/500/1000/5000 ppm); (O2: 0-10/25 vol%); (THC: 0-100 to 50000 ppm C or 0-1000 to 200000 ppm C).
